Happy Mother's Day, Mom!

This special day only comes once a year, but I just wanna say that you've been special to us, to me, every single day of my life.

My mom has been through unimaginable hardships, and I've seen how she has triumphed over them. She is the epitome of resilience for me, and forever will she be my role model. My dad's death when we were still young, I know, changed a lot for my mom and the family. Raising 12 children on her own is no easy feat. God only knows the things she faces each day just to provide the best for us.

There was this one particular time when I heard my mom cry, and that circumstance would break somebody's heart. I never thought I'd ever hear her break down in sobs other than during two deaths in the family: my dad's and my younger brother's. Those tears she shed only showed how human she is despite the stouthearted facade she has on, and as somebody close to her heart, I hope that the next time she does, they would be tears of joy. That's why we continuously strive now to make life a lot easier for us, for my mom.

We may not be vocal in expressing our utmost respect and our deepest love for her, or our appreciation for everything that she's done for us, but our hearts speak the same words.

We love you, Mom! Happy Mother's Day!
