An Offline Night to Remember

I'll surely remember the evening of December 13 with my Offline teammates. This was supposed to be just another TRIP (Team Retention Incentive Program) dinner, which the group usually takes once a month, but last night, it became more than that. As the ATP list were rolled out earlier that morning, it has become a get-together and a despidida (sadly) for all of us to take to heart.

Most of those present were from the dayshift, even our supervisor Ru was there to take part in the celebration. Everybody was festive despite the rightsizing that just happened to the account, and as the evening progressed, we all pushed aside all the stresses and negativity that had bugged Offline for the last two weeks. Somehow it felt that it was the right "mental debug" that everybody from the team needed however bittersweet the evening was.

I love my work with this account not because of the pay, the company perks, or the work itself. I love my work because of the very people that make up the Offline vertical, the very same people who became my good friends, the very same people who (eight of them) have decided to leave the company or (forcefully) will give call accounts a chance. Whatever their decisions are, I believe that God has planned for this in their bestest interest and that something better is in store for them. In parting, I just wanna say we'll surely miss the company you guys shared with the team. Kampai!
