Ouch. My fingers hurt. I haven't done that much transcription work for quite a time. Yes, we've done ET/NPR cross-posting (and it takes me an hour before I get to finish five minutes of their file, done purposely op cors.. hehe), but it's still different when you get to work on the team's very own files. The Offline Captioning department only has three people (me included) during the Sunday GY shift. Since there are no files for editing and two of my officemates are busy with captioning and transcript chopping, my task for the whole shift is transcription. Woot-woot. 1:7 ratio. I thought I lost it. Ha-ha. I'll try to finish this whole file that talks about OBD II DRB III (waddaa?!?) of vehicles made in 1996. Seriously, I'm down to my last two segments and I haven't understood a thing that was said.

Looking at our data log, we seem to have a lot of workload ahead, hopefully enough to keep us busy in the next couple of days. That's good. Bad news though is that some changes will be happening account-wide. The management is brewing up something that already a lot of people are speculating about. Issues...

A peek at work.
