An Idea for a Winning Nightmare

With Halloween just around the corner, the management from where I work is planning of holding Halloween-inspired costume contests. There are two contests that we will be participating in: one is company-wide; the other is for the account I belong to. For the former, the GY shift decided on the ever-popular yet done-so-many-times Vampire theme. Reyn, a colleague, stressed that we should all be "modern vampires." I think this will work because we need not spend for our costumes and other stuff. We can all just wear black clothes and put on some makeup and mouth that plastic fang that we're all familiar with as kids. For the latter, the group decided to go "Starwars." For this, the team will only use five of its members as "mascots." So somebody will be roleplaying as Jedis, Princess Leia, Darth Vader and some other character from this movie. But considering that this is for the Halloween, it should at least be Halloween-inspired, right? So I shared a suggestion. Why not have every one from every popular slasher films become mascots for this event? We only need five of those, so I narrowed on Freddie Krueger from "Nightmare on Elm Street," Michael Meyers from "Halloween," Jason Voorhees from "Friday the 13th," Ghostface of "Scream," and Chucky from "Child's Play."

I believe nobody has done this before, and to see our very nigthmare come to life will be a blast to behold (hehe). This definitely will bag the price (a very puny 1,500) for this contest. All it takes for the team is to find masks for all of these slasher icons (although finding all of them will be one hell of task), and for Chucky, any doll will do, the "mascot" being anybody from the team as the victim (we can have Chucky clinging on the back trying to slash or stab people from the office... hehe). I've only seen Ghostface (a very popular mask), but officemates are saying that they've seen Jason and Freddie sold somewhere. Anyway, this is only Plan B, which I really do hope gets to be realized. But given the unavailability of funds, I have this gut feeling that this will not push through. [Sighs]
