Glorietta 2 Explosion: A Bomb or An Accident?

My sister texted me around three this afternoon asking if I was okay. Her following text was what caught my attention. She said that there was an explosion at Glorietta 2 in Makati around 1:30 this afternoon. I hurriedly replied that I was safe at home and that I just woke up. She was concerned because I happen to work in a call center in Makati. It's uncanny to think now, but last night I, together with some friends, passed by Glorietta on my way to work. To see and read the aftermath on the news and the Internet, it must have been a nightmare to eveyone who were there, especially to those who were injured and to the loved ones of those who died when the explosion occured.

The initial report said that it was an LPG explosion, but the investigators are not brushing aside the notion that it might be a "bomb," even a terroristic act. Four have been confirmed dead and at least 70 are injured. An accident or not, this is the time where we should all come together in prayer for the speedy recuperation of those injured and for those who passed that they may rest in peace. Panic shouldn't get the best of us in a time like this. We just have to hope that it was indeed just an accident and not a "bomb" and that our authorities can shed light on this.
